Humboldt Randonneurs’ Humboldt Coast 1200 is limited to 26 riders with 6 places reserved for international participants. It is limited to RUSA members (international must register additionally with RUSA). Pre-qualification includes completion of at least one 600 km or longer event in 2024 and completion of at least one 600 km or longer event in 2025 prior to June 30, 2025. Admission preference will be given to randonneurs who have completed events longer than 600 km in 2024 or an 8K600 in 2024. (Completion of non-RUSA sanctioned long distance cycling events for qualifier substitution will be considered on a case-by-case basis.)
Initial registration will open at 14:00 (PST) 2-Feb, 2025 and close 20-Feb, 2025. Pre-registered riders will be notified 21-Feb of their admission or be placed on a wait list. Admitted participants will have 10 days to pay registration fee or they will be placed on the waitlist and their spot will be offered to the next pre-registered wait-listed cyclist.
The $650 registration fee will include overnight accomodations on course (Coos Bay, Arcata and Ft Bragg hotel room shared with one other participant), meals at the overnight controls and bag drops. Although we do plan to have a sweep driver, there is no other on-course support offered. Riders are expected to be completely self-sufficient between over-night controls. Transportation to and from the start and finish control is not included. Accomodations at the start and finish control are not included.
We have arranged a group rate discount for the finish control hotel at the Courtyard Marriot in Santa Rosa as well as a storage room for luggage. Please indicate during registration whether you will stay at the Courtyard Marriot.
