Humboldt Randonneurs’ Gamblers 1000, 625 miles from Reno to Las Vegas!

For 2024 Humboldt Randonneurs will host the original route for the Gamblers’ 1000. Starting in Reno, NV, heading north through Paiute Tribal land past Pyramid Lake before heading east to the first overnight at 209 miles in Austin, NV. The second day will take riders down into the Big Smokey Valley heading south through Tohnopa and the historic mining town of Goldfield and on to the second overnight of Beatty at mile 420. The next morning riders will cross into California and descend 4,500 3 over 17 miles into Death Valley!
